Darrell Issa for U.S. Senate - Primary
Overview
This was a very straight-forward site. Internet penetration is very high in California and the campaign wanted to have a presence online for their primary. Again the site goes to great lengths to tell the Darrell Issa story.
The site is not enormous, but accomplished its goals: inform the electorate of who the candidate is, explain what the candidate's message is, and give people an opportunity to get involved. The site offered many of the same organization building and mobilization tools employed by our other campaigns. We offered users opportunities to volunteer and put a link to the Issa site on their personal Web sites.
In the end, Darrell Issa lost the primary, but he had built a powerful asset for the general campaign. It's a good example of what a campaign can accomplish by starting early.
