Turning New York State Around

New York Is A Better Place Because George Pataki Is Our Governor

Four years ago, George Pataki committed himself to the great task of renewing the spirit of our people and our state. Governor Pataki, together with the hardworking people of New York, is fulfilling that task. The progress of the past four years has been dramatic and profound - historic and unprecedented. But that progress - great as it's been - is just the beginning.

Governor Pataki has turned New York State around. He's cut taxes and created jobs. He's improved education for our children, restored our environment for future generations, and improved health care for those in need. He's replaced welfare with workfare. And his tough penalties for violent criminals have made New York a safer place to live, work, and raise a family.

Everyone knows that New York is a better state today than it was four years ago. With everyone working together, four years from now it can be an even better state than it is today.
